We will continue working of Fashion Era Presentations and Power points.
 
THEATRE II-IV
 
We will continue rehearsing Prom Fashion Show Skits and 4 minute scenes.
 

This Week at a Glance!

THEATRE I  
This week, we are beginning Readers' Theatre. There will be a RT Quiz next week 2/5. We will continue to rehearse their Readers' Theatre scripts through next week.
COSTUME AND MAKEUP
We have begun to research costume time periods and will continue research and creating power points through next week.
THEATRE II-IV
Students will search for Thursday Night Live skits for a future performance. Next week we will begin 4 minute scenes with a partner and continue to rehearse Prom Fashion Show Skits.

This week we are finding a 1 minute monologue and working that monologue and writing a Character Analysis for the next two weeks.
Monologue Performances and Character Analysis BOTH due Wednesday, 1/23!!
Prom Fashion Show skit submissions due Tuesday, 1/15!!

The next two weeks we are practicing Old Age Makeup. Grade days are  1/24 and 1/25.

THEATRE I TEST TOMORROW!!!

Theatre I will have a comprehensive 9 weeks test TOMORROW over Blocking, Pantomime/Mime, Voice and Diction, and Theatre vocabulary.
 
WEDNESDAY--Notebook Check
 
Variety Show Rehearsal the rest of the week. PLEASE ask your student about a Variety Show information letter sent home today for 6th and 7th. 1, 2, and 3rd period will have the Variety Show letter tomorrow!

Costume and Makeup

Week of September 10  We will be playing with liquid latex, nose and scar putty, and character makeup to create zombie looks for the Annual Variety Show for the Thriller act.

THEATRE II, III, IV

We will be rehearsing for the Annual Variety Show and Pillow Talk through fall break.

THEATRE I

Week of September 10  We will be studying Pantomime and Mime, Playing Charades and other pantomime games, and rehearsing for the Variety Show.

THEATRE I ANNOUNCEMENT

We will be performing our Greek Myths in class Monday 12/11. PLEASE REMEMBER: Bring in a sheet to use for a toga...ANY COLOR/PATTERN is fine!! It counts as part of your grade on your rubric as costume.

This week, we are playing Charades as a form of pantomime/mime, discussing Improvisation, playing Improv games, and researching Stock Characters from the Commedia 'del Arte.
 
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING IN A POSTER BOARD TOMORROW OR THURSDAY FOR YOUR RESEARCH PRESENTATIONS!!  :-)
