If you’re missing theatre class stay tuned after spring break! I’ll be posting fun resources to get your theatre fix!

THIS WEEK IN THEATRE

THEATRE I
We are starting our Romeo and Juliet Projects/Performances this week!! Students always have a lot of fun with this. Within groups they are to collaboratively write a scene based upon a given Act from Romeo and Juliet. Language is modernized and lines are memorized with an end result of the class performing Romeo and Juliet in 20 minutes or less!! Students will be graded graded based on script work and rehearsals each day in class with a 100 point grade for their final performance in class. Performance/Grade Day is Wednesday, March 13th.

Costume and Makeup
We are continuing with Costume Era presentations. Once completed, students are taking a character from a movie or TV show and designing a costume in a different time period for their chosen character.

THEATRE II, III, IV
Students are performing 4 minute scenes today! Tomorrow we continue the search for Thursday Night Live skits followed by rehearsal of those scenes and monologues for their performance in April.
