Innovation J-Camp (MTSU)

This summer camp is a five day workshop held at the Center for Innovation in Media in partnership with the College of Media and Entertainment at Middle Tennessee State University. This camp is for high school students interested in telling stories for mobile, social, digital, and video audiences. The cost is $150. The camp runs from 9 – 4:30pm July 10-14, 2017. Mississippi State University (Summer Program School of Architecture)

The School of Architecture is offering an eight day summer workshop that is intended to answer many of the questions regarding design and architecture as fields of study and as professions. The workshop is June 9-16, 2017. The total cost of the workshop is $595.00 All applications must be received by June 1, 2017. Redstone Federal Credit Union 

This scholarship is open to members of this credit union who are planning on entering one of the following colleges as a freshman : Alabama A&M, JFDrake Community College, the University of Alabama at Huntsville, Middle Tennessee State University, Oakwood University, Calhoun Community College, or Athens State University. Rachel Carson Healthy Planet Award

This will be awarded to one deserving student from each high school who is nominated across the US. This is a full scholarship to Chatham University. Go to for more information.

Tennessee Technological University

The TN Tech Army ROTC is offering a scholarship opportunity to interested students. Students must have a core GPA of 2.75 or better. There is no military commitment however, students must be willing to enroll and take basic ROTC curriculum courses each semester to maintain eligibility. University of Tennessee at Knoxville
UTK will be sponsoring a summer engineering program for rising 9-12 grade students during the summer of 2017. Each program is a one week residential program. All 9 th graders must have taken a standardized test such as the ACT, PSAT, or SAT. All 10th & 11th graders must have a minimum math score of 25 on the ACT to be considered. Furman Scholars

Students who are interested in Furman University and who are current juniors who meet the following requirements: a genuine interest in the liberal arts and/or sciences, a high school weighted GPA of 3.5 or higher, a 29 or above on the ACT, a significant involvement in extracurricular activities and community service, and a demonstrated leadership potential are eligible. Students selected for this program are eligible to receive up to $20,000/yr in scholarships. Go to for more information.
