My love for Spanish started at the young age off fourteen while on a mission trip in Mexico. I was enamored by the country and the culture I knew I had to learn everything I could about it! Upon my return, I  immediately began studying Spanish. I was a student here at Siegel High (Class of 2006).   I continued traveling to Mexico during the summer, where I practiced my Spanish and learned more and more about the culture. While at home, I totally immersed myself in the language through Spanish speaking friends. During my senior year in high school I met Victor, a handsome man from Honduras. Three years later we were married in a beautiful ceremony here in Murfreesboro.  In 2010 I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish.  After a great student teaching experience, I began working at Riverdale High School (2010-2018)  In 2011, my husband and I joyfully welcomed our son, Landon, to the world. During the next few years I was able to travel to Honduras, Italy, Spain and Costa Rica. All countries that hold a special place in my heart. In 2016, I graduated from MTSU with my Masters in Teaching Spanish. Two years later I was presented with an amazing opportunity. I was able to return to my alma mater! I am currently teaching Spanish II H, III AH and AP at Siegel High School.  In the fall of 2019, we welcomed our daughter, Elena, into our family with open arms. I enjoy spending time with my family, Spanish literature as well as culture, singing, dancing, watching documentaries and traveling to expand my horizons.
