Don't Forget to Complete Summer Reading!

Hi everyone!
 
I am excited about getting started on the school year! This is a reminder to complete your Summer Reading Assignments - things are due the first week of school!
 
And FYI: Every level of English class at Siegel has a Summer Reading assignment.

last week of school info

This is the last week for teachers to work on grades, and they will be finalized in Skyward on Friday, 5/22. Please contact me if you have submitted an assignment (for example, No Red Ink or in TEAMS) but have not asked me to check over the work. Otherwise, I will input the grade from Q3 into the Q4 spot Friday or earlier if I do not hear back from anyone. 
 
Thank you to all of you who faithfully submitted the optional assignments week after week. Shout out to 5th period for having the most assignments turned in!!
 
I want to encourage everyone to READ!!! Even if you "don't like reading", challenge yourself to pick a book and read it from front to back. Listen to the audio of it, if you can find it, if that helps you.
 
Don't forget to look at the Siegel home page for the Summer Reading selection and assignment for English III. 
 
I truly miss you all, and I hope you have a great summer. Don't forget to visit me whenever we get back to school!

Distance Learning folder instructions

Please look under the Distance Learning tab that is in the blue section on the side bar. Click on the folder name to go the Distance Learning Page and to reveal the drop down supplemental materials for the appropriate week. 

Supplemental materials are also uploaded into Microsoft TEAMS and will also be submitted for review there as well.
 
The optional assignment for the week is on the Rutherford County Schools website. This is the main task while the supplemental materials provided by your teachers is to support the district's learning module.

Hi all! First things first - I miss you all and hope you are staying healthy!
 
I am pasting information below from Mr. Creasy regarding our Distance Learning Plans. I will update my website each week with links to supplemental activities for each of the lessons posted by the Central Office on the RCS webpage. All of these are optional, but I encourage you all to try them out! I miss interacting with you and this is a small way to be able to get back into "school" with you!

Good afternoon,

I hope this email finds everyone doing well.  I know this situation is very difficult on everyone.  Our teachers and staff miss our students. Hopefully this is a once in lifetime occurrence. 

Beginning Monday, April 6th, RCS will offer optional assignments and activities throughout the school shutdown that are for any students in Rutherford County. New assignments will be added by Monday of each week. Links to these assignments are available on our website sgh.rcschools.net as well as the RCS site.. Teachers are also offering suggestions, challenges, and ideas for your family to consider on their website. With the exception of Advanced Placement classes and Dual Enrollment classes grades will not be assigned.  If you need anything to support your child, let us know.  (For example; printed packets of resources, laptops, etc.)

Our school will be open to check out a laptop or offer printed packet resources if your child needs one on the following listed days and times:

Monday and Tuesday from 9:00-11:00.

Wednesday and Thursday from 1:00-3:00
