English II summer reading novel

Welcome back to school! I am looking forward to getting to know everyone, and I expect it to be a great year!
 
All of my classes need to have purchased the summer reading novel, A Long Way Gone, by Ishmael Beah, so we can start discussions and journals in class soon. 
 
I have attached the audio to MOST of the chapters of the book in the folder ALWG; a few chapters, for some reason, were not there. Read along with the author if that helps!
 
I encourage you to write in your books and/or use sticky notes!
 
 

English II supply lists 2019-2020

Supply List:

  • Three-ring binder with dividers or multi-subject spiral notebook with pockets
  • 1 Composition book to keep in class
  • Highlighters (blue, green, pink, and yellow at least)
  • Notebook paper, college-ruled
  • Blue and black ink pens
  • Required texts, novels, and plays
    • Last names beginning with:
      • A- F: One roll of paper towels
      • G-L: One box of tissues
      • M-R: One container of disinfecting wipes or hand sanitizer
      • S-Z: Sticky notes (any color)
If you are feeling generous, I would appreciate colored copy paper and/or white copy paper.
