Why Write at All? What’s the Point? What does it mean to be able to communicate effectively? How does writing help me express my ideas, thoughts, and opinions?

  • “Why I Write” The narrator begins her “Why I Write” story with a flashback about an experience from when she was in second grade. What was her purpose in beginning with a flashback?
  • There’s that saying, “Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me.” What is your opinion of that little saying after viewing this video?
  • The images in the video are sometimes shown in color and sometimes in black & white. How does the use of color impact the narrator’s message?

  • It will ask you to “customize” your account, so choose a few shows you like.
  • look under assignments. Click the assignment title and complete the diagnostic test.
