commissioner of the state patrol is to make Minnesota road safer in recent years we can all agree distract driving is a problem on our roads the video you are about to watch is a sad reminder of how one bad choice can change the lives of not only yourself but others around you imagine yourself as a husband or wife we lost a spouse a child who lost a parent or the driver who took someone's life all because you were distracted arm adjust simple pay attention while driving we were in the perfect match we are soulmates she loved her family more than anything Alyssa forever rabbit  I can still see your land on the side of that road Little Pony for a smile the stuff  stop I made a mistake that day that I can never take back it's lonely very lonely I don't wear the day of the crash is June 30th and I have the day off  I was going to spend with a girl that day I was in one of our grain bins and  also my mom called on the to a and send math where you at and I could hear on her voice that something was  very wrong cuz Mom said Pantry in the girls are in an accident and I knew they were on the bike so I knew it wasn't going to be good  we went out to the crash site those difficult I can see doing CPR on Andrea  the house kind of clock in my thoughts and saying some prayers and then the fire chief games that W lost Andrea and those top and the shock started then I remember the phone Paula coming in and saying that I had to get to the hospital  my little Claire who is Ford's time was not okay Panda by broken ribs and punctured lung and some crack razor neck and she was activated to see that little girl what the tubes and everything is just something else add ever have to go through to see  the fear in your 4 year olds eyes the quivering of her lip Justice beyond anything  that anyone should have to go through I think she knew mom was gone but yet as a father you still had to tell her her when I was gone that day when Andrews riding her bike she was doing everything right but Chris that day was doing something on safe he was looking at his phone and I'll definitely hit my girls  Santa it hurts I don't know what I was being for that second where I did not see her  said I knew I was on my phone remember that I had to make a payment on a loan and I thought I would bet every time to do it now cuz I forget I won't remember to later and so I decide to pick up my phone and turned dialing next thing I knew is I heard a thought I know if I look down on my phone for a Split Second and I heard a thud I looked up in my rearview mirror I saw bicycle  Mary wave it wasn't good I never saw her one time stop the mucus quick as I could I started running back towards a bicycle what the hell am I done  how do I how do I not see her no doubt my mind was my fault I was on the phone I was driving  how to control that's my fault still weather remain silent anything you say can and will be used against you in court involved in this poison thing Tegrity does my fault you were looking at your cell phone remember being looking at myself remember being on my cell phone what happened did you have time to apply your brakes Louisville  that day at all I can feel the bill number one because I was on my phone play this track. Doug's the touches the smile  the wife's she loved her family more than anything she'd loved her kids she'd do reading for kids the factor  Andrea's last night here  I slept with Claire online take care of Claire one last time and I are going to we wanted more kids when you're even  talked about adopting someday but those Ranger shattered we were the perfect match we were soulmates and it's just hard going on without her and waking up every morning to Trinity Home in an empty bed just because there's just one person missing  Lake Forest crash  20 year old living life  the two kids  the name of that by choice  big myself on that day make a call  the choice that I can't take back  kill tonight because of that weather Chris is on his phone he didn't surprise me I knew the person responsible for Andrews crash was on her phone even or I was told I'm thankful that I've got my girls because  the day of the crash they were involved in it and it could be on different lost everything there we sorry for what did that day I just can't  be changed I feel terrible that I made that bad choice  does it does make it easier that he's taking bounce ability for it  the telephone bring Andrew back  I know that's what he would want and I know that's what I want it's what we don't want that's why we got to get to work out there this doesn't need to happen to anyone ever again he made a mistake a mistake in his life that he's going to have to live with for the rest of his life just as we are going to have to go on with our life without Andrea without  my wife the love of my life the role model to her two girls grass for everybody to do is think about  we pick up your cell phone your vehicle is that cell phone worth  hornet Life Next you got to change their habits phones are a habit they're bad habit especially when you're behind the wheel yeah they make life easier but they made stop for fried there's no text or phone call that is that important I still think it's a big dream  but good morning my wake up she's still not here  put the phone away  a pretty good butterfly Watchers now any peanut butter fly Weatherby me or Claire butterflies remind me of of mom and that Mommy is sending these Butterflies from heaven about to see and we stop and take a moment and just watch the butterflies  another forever Alyssa forever
